I am old retired Irish NYPD cop. Enlisted in '65, day after I turned 18. Went to Benning for boot, stupid 18 year old, thought I was bullet proof. Volunteered for A/B went to jump school, blah blah blah. MOS 11Bravo 2P ( they called it the Death Sentence), served in the 1rst Brigade, 101st A/B. Literally stumbled onto your site surfing the web, bought back memories ( I was a 19 yr. old E-5) some real good, some real real bad. Haven't seen the screamin' chicken patch in a long,long time. I was the real deal, proof is not two fading eagles tats on both arms, but the scars on my gut and left leg. Christ, Its almost 50 years. But I looked at all your photos. We didn't exactly get the best reception when we came back to the world. But for the first time in years, you made me feel PRIDE, from an old 101 A/B VN vet, thank you from the bottom of my heart.
